Cell polarisation model : the 1D case

چکیده
We study the dynamics of a one-dimensional non-linear and nonlocal drift-diffusion equation set in the half-line, with the coupling involving the trace value on the boundary. The initial mass M of the density determines the behaviour of the equation: attraction to self similar profile, to a steady state of finite time blow up for supercritical mass. Using the logarithmic Sobolev and the HWI inequalities we obtain a rate of convergence for the cases subcritical and critical mass. Moreover, we prove a comparison principle on the equation obtained after space integration. This concentration-comparison principle allows proving blow-up of solutions for large initial data without any monotonicity assumption on the initial data.

Simulation of municipal landfill leachate movement in soil by HYDRUS-1D model
Different numerical and analytical models are presently available that provide the tools to predict pollutant and water transfer processes between the soil surface and the groundwater level. Among the existing models, the Hydrus-1D model has been used for years in the prediction of water and pollutants transfer in the unsaturated zone. The main purpose of this paper was to model the movement of...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of CdS/CIGS Tandem Multi-Junction Solar Cells with AMPS-1D
Numerical modeling of polycrystalline thin-film solar cell serves as an imperative procedure to test the suitability of proposed physical clarification and to anticipate the effect of physical changes on cell performance. All in all, this must be conducted with only partial knowledge of input parameters. In this paper, we evaluated the numerical simulation of CdS/CIGS tandem multi junction sola...
متن کاملEstimation of zeolite application effect on solute transport parameters at different soils using HYDRUS-1D model
ABSTRACT-Application of models for simulation of solute and pollutants transport in soil can reduce time and costs for remediation process. HYDRUS-1D model was developed to simulate the one–dimensional flow of soil water, heat, solute and viruses in variably saturated–unsaturated porous media. The objective of this investigation is to determine the solute transport parameters in disturbed soil ...
متن کامل4D geomechanical simulations for field development planning
3D and 4D geomechanical can be time-consuming to build and calibrate. However, once such a model is built, it is relative straightforward to use this model for various field development and management applications. In so doing, the return on the initial investment of time and effort in the creation of a 4D geomechanical model can be substantial. I present a case study where a 4D geomechanical m...
متن کاملDevelopmental Disturbance of Dentin with Probable Diagnosis of Dentin Dysplasia Type 1d: A rare case report
Background: Dentin dysplasia (DD) is a rare disturbance of dentin formation, characterized by normal enamel but atypical dentin formation with abnormal pulpal morphology. In DD type I, the teeth appear clinically normal in morphologic appearance and color. Radiographic analysis shows obliteration of all pulp chambers as well as short, blunted, and malformed or absent roots with multiple periapi...
